but guys Sherlock’s not even his first name but he still uses it, isn’t that ridiculous???
So Sherlock is not his first name, which means his parents weren’t just being creative—it was probably a family name. Hypothetically, there could have been another Sherlock Holmes. An older Sherlock Holmes. Perhaps, even, a Sherlock Holmes that lived in Victorian England—the great great great grandfather of modern Sherlock.
I’ll take that for the win.
